Want to get experience working with wildlife? We gotcha' covered! We are looking for dedicated clinic volunteers. While it may seem like a cushy opportunity filled with petting cute animals, this is actually a hard job that requires a lot of physical, mental, and emotional strength.
Responsibilities
Exhibit maintenance and cleaning
Cage cleaning
Orphan baby feeding
Diet preparation (this includes produce and rodents)
General housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc)
Requirements
Multitasking skills
Physical ability to work hard
Organizational skills
The ability to volunteer at least 4 hours a week (exceptions can be made!)
Some experience preferred but not required
Things to keep in mind:
Not all animals make it. You need to be able to deal with death.
Animals are MESSY and require a lot of cleaning up after
Orphans are cute but we handle them as little as possible. Our goal is to release these animals back into the wild.
This job can be extremely physically demanding!
Benefits:
A chance to make a difference!
The opportunity to participate in releases
The opportunity to work closely with animals most people never get to see up close
Experience in the field of wildlife which can benefit a future career
A rewarding way to give back to your community and help nature
